Why ...

'Why? Why did he have to stay and fight ... why must I be who I am. We could have all fled, not have had to fight. No one had to die...Not for me. Am I deamed that important' Kumiko thought to herself as she and the dragon sat upon the grassy hill top, looking out into the distance.

Fenar just lay there with a face that seemed to be mad of stone, showing no emotions. Though once Kumiko placed her hand upon his left arm a tear slowly escaped his eye. All at once she burst into tears and threw herself onto his arm. Fenar let out a sigh, knowing all to well she was blaming herself. He took his tail and gently laid it upon her back, trying to comfort her feelings of guilt.

"Do not blame yourself young one." He said looking down at her. " My brother did what he had to in order to protect you. His death wasn't in vain. Though he may no longer be in our world his spirit lives on."
